Oh, and Antiparos Island is just a short hop away, making it a perfect day trip to slow down your island escape. Read on and let me show you how to make the most out of your 3-day itinerary exploring Paros and Antiparos!
Things to Know Before Visiting Paros
Best Time of Year to Visit Paros
Paros is an absolute dream from May to October! However, if you want to dodge the crowds and still soak in the beauty, aim for late May to early June or September. The weather is perfect for beach days and sightseeing, but you wonโt have to battle for sunbeds or restaurant reservations. If youโre a sun worshipper, July and August bring the heat (and a bit of a party vibe), but fair warning, prices can peak during these months.
How to Get to Paros
Paros is accessible by ferry or flight. If youโre already in Greece on a nearby Greek island I suggest taking a ferry. I recommend booking through Ferryhopper. Ferryhopper makes it easy to find the best ferry routes and schedules.
Note: If you are following my Greece Itinerary, you will take a ferry from Naxos. The ferry is a quick 25-minute ride.
If you are in Athens I highly recommend flying to Paros. Paros has a tiny airport with direct flights from Athens. The flight is only 45 minutes. I suggest booking with SkyExpress or Aegean Airlines.

How to Get Around Paros
Exploring Paros is a breeze! Rent a car or an ATV (yes, you can totally feel like an off-road explorer), and youโll have the freedom to hop from beach to beach and village to village. Public buses are not the most reliable option, I suggest having your own set of wheels to be able to explore the most.
For the day trip to Antiparos, you will want a car to visit the caves and beaches. The ferry is a car ferry and is only a quick 7-minute ride from the port of Pounta. (You can purchase ferry tickets when boarding).
For the best deals and a wide selection of vehicles, I recommend booking your rental through DiscoverCars. They offer competitive prices and make it easy to compare options, ensuring you get the perfect car for your vacation.
How Many Days to Spend on Paros
Three days is the perfect sweet spot to explore Paros, but you can easily spend more! Three days gives you enough time to lounge on sun-kissed beaches, wander picturesque villages, and indulge in Greek food. And donโt worry, Iโve carved out a whole day for a mini-adventure to Antiparos โ because you definitely want to explore this tiny island!

3-Day Itinerary on Paros
Day One: Naousa, Paros: Seaside Lunch, Beaches, and Nightlife
Welcome to the stunning island of Paros, where the charming town of Naousa is the perfect place to kick off your island adventure! Day one is all about laid-back luxury, seaside beauty, and a bit of Greek nightlife fun. Hereโs how you can spend a full day soaking up the best of Naousa and its surrounding beaches.
Arrival & Lunch with a View
After settling in, itโs time for lunch by the sea! Head straight to Maremma for a delicious meal with an unbeatable waterfront view. This spot is perfect for indulging in fresh seafood and Mediterranean dishes. Their fish options are as fresh as it gets, paired with local wine or ouzo for a true Greek experience. Take your time enjoying the relaxed ambiance and the beauty of the Aegean Sea right in front of you.
Beach Time at Kolymbithres or Mikri Santa Maria
Once you’ve refueled, itโs beach time! Just a short walk from Maremma is the iconic Kolymbithres Beach. Known for its natural rock formations and crystal-clear waters, this beach is a must-see. Find a sandy spot between the smooth rock clusters, or venture into the water for a refreshing swim.
If you find Kolymbithres a bit too crowded during peak season, donโt worry. Just a short drive away is the more serene Mikri Santa Maria Beach. This hidden gem offers a relaxed vibe, calmer waters, and fewer people, making it ideal for a quiet afternoon of sunbathing or snorkeling. It is worth the drive!

Evening Stroll in Naousa
As the sun begins to set, return to Naousa for a leisurely evening. Naousaโs harbor is one of the prettiest in the Cyclades, with traditional whitewashed buildings and fishing boats bobbing in the water. Hereโs what you can explore in town:
- Cool off with the best ice cream bar of your life from 32 Agosto. I still dream about this place, the ice cream is so fresh and you are able to create your own mix of flavors. (we visited this place daily!)
- Old Port: Walk around the picturesque old port area, which is bustling with activity in the evenings. Youโll find tons of great photo ops, charming streets, and boutique shops.
- Venetian Castle: Right by the port, you can check out the remains of the Venetian Castle for a bit of history and unbeatable views of the town and harbor.
- Shopping: Naousa is famous for its quaint, winding alleyways filled with boutique shops. Whether youโre looking for handmade jewelry, artisanal crafts, or fashion, the shopping scene here is vibrant and unique.
- Church of Agios Nikolaos: For a touch of local culture, visit the stunning Church of Agios Nikolaos with its iconic blue dome and Cycladic architecture.

Dinner at Umi Sushi
For dinner, switch it up with something different by heading to Umi Sushi. This chic spot offers a fusion of Japanese flavors with a Greek twist, located right in the heart of Naousa. Their sushi rolls are beautifully crafted, and the sashimi is always fresh. Itโs a stylish, modern dining experience that still feels at home in this traditional town. If visiting during peak season, make reservations in advance.
Dessert: Loukoumades at Donut Shop
No evening in Naousa is complete without indulging in some traditional loukoumades (Greek donuts) from the famous Loukoumades – Donut Shop. These bite-sized donuts are a must-try, especially when topped with chocolate. Grab a batch to-go and enjoy them while strolling through the lively streets.

Night Out in Naousa
If youโre up for a night out, Naousaโs nightlife wonโt disappoint. The town is buzzing with vibrant bars and nightlife spots. Here are a few to check out:
- Linardo: Set in an old building right on the harbor, this spot is known for its laid-back vibe and DJ sets, offering everything from chill tunes to upbeat party beats.
- Comeback: Popular among both locals and tourists, Comeback is a trendy cocktail bar where you can sip on creative drinks while enjoying sea views.
- Sante Cocktail Bar: Located in a picturesque alley, Sante is a go-to for delicious cocktails and a cozy atmosphere. It’s perfect for those who want to start the night off slowly before hitting the clubs.
- Agosta Bar: If youโre looking for a lively crowd, head over to Agosta Bar. This spot is known for its party vibe, great drinks, and fun atmosphere well into the night.

Day Two: A Perfect Day in Antiparos: Caves, Beaches & Laid-Back Vibes
If youโre looking to squeeze in some island-hopping while in Paros, Antiparos is an absolute must. Just a short ferry ride away, this little island packs a big punch with its unique sights, stunning beaches, and charming town. Hereโs how to spend a full day on Antiparos, blending exploration, relaxation, and delicious food.
Note: you will want a rental car to explore Antiparos.
Morning: Ferry to Antiparos & Cave Exploration
Start your day by catching the ferry from Pounta (Port on Paros) to Antiparos. The ride is quick (about 10 minutes) but gives you a sense of adventure as you leave Paros behind and head to its more peaceful sister island. (You pay when boarding the boat). Once you arrive, make a beeline for the Cave of Antiparos.
This cave is one of the islandโs most famous landmarks and a total hidden gem for anyone into nature or history. The Cave of Antiparos is filled with ancient stalactites and stalagmites, some dating back millions of years. Legends and myths surround this cave, which was said to have been visited by historical figures like Alexander the Great and the Marquis de Nointel.
Fair Warning: This is supposedly the steepest cave in Europe! Youโll have to navigate a serious set of stairs (411 steps to be exact), so make sure you’re up for the challenge. But trust meโitโs worth the climb! The cave is otherworldly, with incredible natural formations that leave you in awe of natureโs craftsmanship.

Afternoon: Lunch in Ag. Georgios & Livadia Beach
After all that adventure, youโll have worked up an appetite. Head over to the village of Ag. Georgios for a laid-back lunch with unbeatable seaside views. My top two picks for lunch are:
- Captain Pipinos Seafood Taverna: Located right on the water, this spot is known for its fresh, no-fuss seafood. You can sit at a table with your toes practically in the sand and watch the boats in the harbor as you dig into grilled octopus, fish, and a classic Greek salad.
- Casa Fistiki: If youโre in the mood for something different, Casa Fistiki offers a fresh Mexican menu with a Mediterranean twist. Their waterfront setting is ideal for a relaxed meal while enjoying the village vibe.
After lunch, itโs time for some serious beach lounging. Head to Livadia Beach, a secluded gem where you can enjoy the tranquility of the island. With its clear turquoise waters and peaceful atmosphere, itโs the perfect spot for a swim or to catch some rays. Unlike the busier beaches in Paros, Livadia feels more remote and untouched, ideal for those seeking a calm escape.

Evening: Return to Paros & Explore Parikia
After a relaxing afternoon at the beach, itโs time to hop back on the ferry and head back to Paros. Once youโre back on the island, I highly recommend spending the evening exploring Parikia, Parosโ capital.
Honestly, I preferred Parikia over Naousa. It feels more authentically Greek, with its traditional charm, cobblestone streets, and relaxed atmosphere. Take a stroll around Panagia Ekatontapiliani, a beautiful Byzantine church that dates back to the 4th century, or lose yourself in the winding alleyways dotted with local shops and cafรฉs.

For dinner, Parikia has some incredible options! My top two are:
- Greco: For those still craving Greek cuisine, Greco offers a modern twist on classic dishes. Their meze plates are perfect for sharing, and the setting is cozy and inviting.
- Cuore Rosso: If youโre feeling like a change of pace after days of Greek food, Cuore Rosso is an excellent Italian spot. The pizzas are wood-fired, and the pasta dishes are fresh and flavorfulโa nice way to mix it up during your island travels.
End your evening with a cocktail at a cute bar and soak up the peaceful vibe of Parikia. Itโs the perfect way to wrap up a day of exploration, relaxation, and great food.
Day 3: Spend a Perfect Day Exploring the Villages of Paros & Wine Tasting
Paros is more than just stunning beaches and chic harbor towns, itโs home to some of the most charming villages and authentic experiences in the Cyclades. If youโre a wine lover, a day of exploring the islandโs villages paired with wine tasting is a dream itinerary. Hereโs how to spend a full day savoring the best of Parosโ countryside.
Morning: Wine Tasting at Katikia
Start your day off with a unique and intimate wine-tasting experience at Katikia. If youโre looking for something low-key, this hidden gem will delight you. Pandelis, the owner, is one of the most welcoming and kind-hearted people youโll meet on Paros. His small wine-tasting spot is not a high-end, luxurious affair, but rather an authentic experience where youโre welcomed like family.
At Katikia, youโll enjoy some of the best homemade wine, along with fresh vegetables straight from Pandelis’ garden. Itโs a true taste of local life in Paros, where the wine is paired with great conversation and stories. Sitting in his cozy space, youโll feel like youโve been invited into a Greek home, making this one of the most memorable wine tastings youโll ever experience.
Midday: Explore the Villages
After your wine-tasting experience, itโs time to explore Parosโ charming villages, each offering its own unique beauty and history.
Kostos Village
Start by heading to Kostos, a small, peaceful village that feels untouched by time. With narrow, winding streets and traditional whitewashed houses, itโs a quiet retreat from the busier parts of the island. Stroll around, take in the serene atmosphere, and maybe stop by a local cafรฉ for a Greek coffee.
Lefkes Village
Next, make your way to Lefkes, the most picturesque village in Paros and a true gem of the Cyclades. Lefkes is perched on a hill, offering stunning views of the island and the sea. Hereโs what you can do:
- Church of Agia Triada: This beautiful Byzantine church, with its impressive marble details, is a must-see in Lefkes. Itโs one of the most important churches on the island, and its interior is equally stunning.
- Walk the Byzantine Road: Take a stroll along the Byzantine Road, a centuries-old stone path that connects Lefkes to the nearby village of Prodromos. The walk is surrounded by olive groves and offers incredible views of the island.
- Explore the Village Streets: Lefkes is full of narrow alleys, charming squares, and traditional Cycladic houses. Youโll want to get lost in the beauty of this village as you wander around and take in its serene vibe.

Prodromos Village (if time permits)
Next, head to Prodromos, another picturesque village known for its traditional architecture. Its name means “precursor” in Greek, and the village has a fascinating historical past. Hereโs what to do:
- Walk Through the Arched Gateways: As you enter Prodromos, youโll pass under a series of arched gateways, which add to the villageโs charm. The villageโs maze-like streets are perfect for a relaxed afternoon walk.
- Visit the Old Churches: Prodromos is home to several old churches with stunning frescoes and architecture. Make sure to stop by Agios Spyridon and Agios Ioannis to soak in the islandโs religious heritage.
Marpissa Village (if time permits)
Continue on to Marpissa, a hilltop village known for its stunning views and authentic Cycladic atmosphere. Hereโs what to explore:
- Folklore Museum: Learn about the traditional way of life on Paros at the Folklore Museum in Marpissa, which showcases local crafts, tools, and historical artifacts.
- Windmills: The village is dotted with beautiful, old windmills that offer a glimpse into the islandโs agricultural past. Be sure to take a few photos of these iconic structures.
Late Lunch: Piso Livadi & Markakis Restaurant
By now, youโve worked up an appetite, and thereโs no better place to stop for a late lunch than the waterfront village of Piso Livadi. This laid-back town has some of the best seaside dining on the island. My personal favorite spot is Markakis Restaurant.
Here, youโll find the freshest seafood paired with the peaceful vibe of the harbor. Enjoy dishes like grilled fish, octopus, or traditional Greek meze while you gaze out at the boats bobbing in the water. Piso Livadi has a relaxed charm, making it the perfect spot to slow down and savor the moment.

Late Afternoon: Beach Hopping or More Wine Tasting
After lunch, you have two options depending on your mood:
Option 1: Beach Hopping to Golden Beach
If youโre in the mood for more relaxation, head down the coast for some beach-hopping. Golden Beach is a popular spot, known for its long stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Itโs perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or even trying out some windsurfing.

Option 2: Wine Tasting at Moraitis Winery
If you prefer to continue your wine journey, make your way to Moraitis Winery in Naousa. This well-known winery offers tastings of some of the best wines on Paros. You can sample a range of wines, from fresh whites to full-bodied reds.

Evening: Dinner & Sunset in Paros
End your day with a cozy dinner and a gorgeous sunset. Depending on your vibe, you have a few options:
- Barbarossa, Tsachoines, and Sigi Ikthiosm: These restaurants offer a lively, fun atmosphere with great food.
- Siparos Seaside Restaurant: If youโre looking for a quieter, more serene atmosphere, Siparos Seaside Restaurant is the perfect choice. Located just outside Naousa, this spot offers a more intimate dining experience, with breathtaking views of the sea and a delicious menu that highlights local ingredients.
