Quick Guide to Uluwatu, Bali

Uluwatu is a hilly peninsula located on the southern tip of Bali. The relaxed, high-end yet trendy destination is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy amazing sites and Balinese culture. Bluewater, white sand, and limestone jagged cliffs make it one of the most stunning places in Bali. I suggest staying in Uluwatu for at least two nights. Since it is so close to the airport, it is the perfect area to stay towards the end or begin your trip through Bali. So read on for a quick guide to Uluwatu!

STAY:

There are so many accommodations in Uluwatu with varying budget ranges. As long as you stay in the Pecatu region, most sights are all within a 20 minutes scooter or taxi ride. The hills can be daunting, so it is not a very walkable area. Either rent a scooter or hire a taxi to take you from place to place.

We stayed in the Uluwatu Cottages. This beautiful property overlooks the sea and has a stunning pool atop a cliff. Very centrally located and easy to get to all the main attractions in this region. Also, they had rentable scooters on the property, making it very convenient to tour around.
