Partington Cove Trail

This is the postcard shot of Big Sur. Located inside Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, McWay Falls is an 80-foot waterfall that drops onto a secluded beach below. You can’t go down to the beach, but the viewpoint is just a short walk from the parking lot.

By now, you’re hungry, and Nepenthe delivers. Perched on a cliff with panoramic views, it’s a bit of a scene (expect a wait), but once you’re seated, the views and relaxed vibe are unbeatable. Even if it’s crowded, it’s a great place to take a break and soak in where you are.
